Cameras are only an investment if you are making money out of it. Otherwise it's just losses towards your hobby.

If you enjoy using M cameras now, and you enjoy the lens selection now, i don't see why you wouldn't be happy with an M6 Mark II.

I have an M5, its a good camera but i dont think ill stick around this system for longer. But i have specific needs that canon does not meet.

yes i have an M5 ..nice camera but let down with its AF with tracking and the AF spot is to big and for that i never rely gelled with it and started taking less photos

if canon had made a M5 MKii with the M6 AF etc i would not have moved ..but now i have an R6 i am a very happy bunny ..but missing the 11-22

Right. I wish it had better 4k.

I took some awesome trips in these past 3 years with my M5, and it breaks my heart to see all the footage i took to be mushy and lacking in detail. I have downloaded samples of the M6II 1080p and 4k footage and while an improvement they lag behind my girlfriend's G7.

This year (if permited) im going to Mexico and Japan. 2 trips i have been planning for years... no way im going to take the canon with me.
