Every time I see these kind of posts, especially with a reference to FF, I have to wonder. If money is an issue, especially a couple grand, what are they going to do for FF? The new Canon 70-200 F4 for the RF mount is $1599 MSRP and the F2,8 is $2599 MSRP. I'm guessing even when we start seeing a lot of third party RF lenses they will be several hundred dollars. Even the nifty 50 for the RF mount is $200 and the cheap zoom, the 24-240 is $899.
The size and weight differences are also huge. It really shouldn't be a one or the other type choice.

My primary reason is the size and weight, secondary is the price. I was happy with my compact camera until I saw the Sony NEX alpha.  Amazingly small and light, but it was expensive back then. Long after that, the M100 came out. The M100 with 22mm combo is the reason why I went all in. I'm still using that M100 because of its size.

When I say size, I don't mean just the size of the body. The lens has to be small and light as well. I want the overall package to be small and light. I'm not a professional photographer. I don't want to carry a camera bag with me everywhere I go. I would rather go back to using compact cameras than carry something that big and heavy - doesn't matter if it's inexpensive.
