I am waiting for a long telephoto zoom for M system, something like 100-300mm
I’d love one too, but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll ever see one like this. Adapted is the only real option.
There’s a recent thread IIRC in which Larry Rexley details modifying the 55-250 to work with a teleconverter though...
and a 32mp body without shutter shock. Otherwise its perfectly fine
What combo are you having shutter shock problems with? I can honestly report that in the tens of thousands of photos that I’ve taken with my M6ii, I’ve never had a single image ruined by shutter shock.
Here’s a previous thread with a test of my own...

There’s a lot of Goodness available with this latest tech. Personally I wouldn’t miss it on account of something more ephemeral than real.

You know me so well... that EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS STM is one of my favorite lenses.
My thinking is that the reason Canon doesn't focus on telephoto lenses for the EOS M mount is that no matter what you do, they're going to be large to match functionality of competing lenses.
Trying to make a 'compact' lens in a long telephoto would likely compromise it to reduced functionality or a 'dim' maximum aperture. You can already see this in the 'normal range' -- where for example the max aperture at the long end of kit zooms is a compromised f6.3 instead of a larger mount's typical f5.6.
if we do the math... a 300mm f4 lens will have an objective with a clear diameter of 300mm/4 = 75mm or almost 3 inches! For 400mm f5.6 it's 71mm. My vintage Minolta MC Rokkor-QF 200mm f3.5 lens has a super-thin metal ring holding its 57mm diameter front element in, a filter size of 62mm, and front lens barrel diameter with built-in lens hood of 70mm. I don't see how it could be any smaller. You cannot change the laws of physics!
The EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 is 70mm wide and it's super sharp at 250mm and f5.6. Personally, I find that lens to be nicely balanced and not too large on the M6 II.... I don't feel the need to buy the reduced focal length range and smaller max aperture EF-M 55-200mm f4.5-6.3 IS STM.
