Mixed lot from this morning

First up: while still in our townhouse complex heading out on my daily walk I came across this pair of Ring-necked ducks in one of the complex's ponds:

A pair of coyotes happened to pretty much keep pace with me as I walked: me on the dyke, they in the marsh:

The male seems to have been in the wars: note the gash in front of his hind leg:

There was a tremendous amount of Bald Eagle action. There are some old, defunct marine markers in the shallows off the marsh: at one time there were eight Bald Eagles on the one: seven juveniles and one adult. I think this is a very good sign as to the health of the population with so many young birds. Unfortunately this is likely more than 300m away but still: the adult apparently trying to direct traffic:

Juveniles fighting over some food:

One of the juveniles with some food in its claws passing close by. I unfortunately clipped its wingtip somewhat: DOH!
