All Mirrorless Cameras Have This Issue

All mirrorless cameras that I have ever tested have this issue...even contrast-detect autofocus systems used as such by Panasonic when using long telephoto lenses.
DSLR's have an advantage by having a separate focusing system that is independent of the sensor --  mirrorless do not.

It is really apparent while using long telephoto lenses. I've tested mirrorless cameras from Canon, Sony, Fuji, Panasonic and Olympus. They all suffer from this.

I've used so many mirrorless cameras now I just have learned to deal with it. I find that swiftly panning down to the ground on some large subject in the foreground will get your focus close to where it needs to be, then you can focus on your subject.
