somewhat? No, it's on a whole different level. AF alone, the a9 recalculates 60x/second vs the a7III at 20x/second. No blackout EVF, 20fps, little to no rolling shutter effect and banding in electronic shutter mode are just other advantages. You mentioned the ability of 1/32000, which is probably one of the least used features. The ONLY two things the a7III does better that I can think of would be dynamic range and S-log (for video, no S-log with the a9/a9II).

Also, nowadays, with firmware updates, you can’t easily judge how good a camera is based on the release date.
