Lens Hoods - RF 70-200 f4 L IS & RF 100-500 L IS

I have both the RF 70-200 f4 and RF 100-500.  Is there something I am missing or can I use the hoods interchangeably on both lenses?  I took some test shots interchanging both hoods and I did not see any issues using the hoods on either camera.  I thought their might be a crop using the 70-200 hood on the 100-500 at the long end, but I didn't see any differences. The main motivation is to not have to carry both hoods when I am using a single body and could swap the hoods between camera.  The 100-500 hood is bigger but has the added feature of the sliding door to adjust filters.  There is also a space advantage not having to take both hoods.  If carrying two bodies, I would take both hoods.
