photography with an infrared sensor question
1

Hello,

My father had one of his camera's filters converted to infrared.  He was very enthusiastic about his infrared photography and I would like to use his camera in honor of him.  This is just a basic question, but is it safe to look through the viewfinder of this camera with it's converted sensor?  Is it safe to use the LCD screen?  My thought is that it is perfectly safe to use the viewfinder because the viewfinder does not look through the sensor.  In fact, I don't think anything looks through the sensor and, therefore, it is safe to use either viewing method while using the camera.  Is that correct?  Asking out of an abundance of caution.  Thanks!
