Small bird photography
2

Small birds are notorious difficult to photograph.  They are small, skittish, always on the move and often in gloomy places. Getting close and getting enough light is always a problem. I have an E-M1 + 300m f4 PRO.  I'm looking for that sweet spot to improve my keeper rate.  Since I'm rarely able to fill the frame with a small bird, I'm thinking of getting an EM14 or EM20.  However, I'm worried that the down sides, loss of light, camera shake and ability to target quickly, may negate the benefit. I know a lot depends on the individual but I'd be interested in your thoughts.
