Saharadust in the atmosphere...

... the last few days we had some Saharadust in the upper layers (5-10km high) of our atmosphere.

This phenomenon tinted the sunrise red:

Just a few minutes before sunrise

A brown(ish) background around a tree:

The sun is trying to peep through the clouds and this tree.

Even in the sky above the Dutch polder, you can see the brown halo around the sun:

Straight lines in the polder, lit by a circular sun
