R5 and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II - focus issue?

Hi Everyone,

I got my R5 in December and noticed when I shoot with the 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II wide open at 2.8 the focus is off...more off than the reliable focus I have achieved over the years with the same lens on my Canon 5Dii.

I get if you stop down to F4 things sharpen up a bit, but I should be able to shoot wide open and still get acceptably focused images (most of the time). The focus quality drop between F4 down to F2.8 seems pretty drastic. With this lens on the R5, I don't think I have one acceptably focused image when shooting wide open. Yet shooting the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II wide open on the R5 seems to focus really well.

I mainly photograph people, so this is noticeable when using the 70-200 on the R5.

Has anyone else noticed focusing issues like this when shooting their lenses wide open on the R5?
