My 5 years experience on 45-150
8

Bought this in 2015 to replace the not very often used and heavier 45-200 mk-I. I was originally looking for the 45-175PZ, but while compared these 2 lenses on the table of the shop, 45-150 had my love because of its smaller size. It was bought from gray market and a new one costed me US$122 only...

It is one of my standard travelling setup, together with 7-14 f/4 and 12-35 f/2.8 mk-I which can cover majority of my shooting. Indeed it is my carrying everywhere lens.

It is rather small for its class, even smaller than 12-35 f/2.8 and weights 200g only. It is indeed the lightest weight lenses vs 7-14 f.4 and 12-35 f/2.8... DUAL IS and DFD supported on Panny bodies, very fast AF and sharp enough wide open. On IQ it beats 45-200, and is just marginally behind the higher cost 14-140 f/3.5-5.6.

A very high cost/performance ratio telephoto lens. Particularly a good option for older Panny non IBIS bodies.

Some recent SOOC jpg from this lens on G85:
