R6: How to set aperture to thumbwheel in AV mode

Just upgraded from R to R6 and I'm trying to set up my custom modes.

For the life of me I can't seem to assign the thumbwheel to control aperture in AV mode.

When I go to "Customize Dials" menu and set the thumbwheel to AV it says "Aperture setting in M mode" and the thumbwheel ends up controlling exposure compensation.

Also the main dial is controlling aperture even though it is set to control shutter speed.

This is driving me crazy. Then again I haven't customized the thumbwheel since 5D3 in 2013 lol. Help please!
