The XS10 is a great camera, with nearly overwhelming capability (far beyond my limited skill set) at a great price. So why is it going back? Because it isn't a comfortable pair of shoes.

At a certain point in life, say in your 70s, comfort becomes more important than capability, and an old pair of carpet slippers replace a nice pair of Allen Edmonds. And so, the XS10 isn't my pair of comfortable slippers: the grip is great but a bit too shallow, so jamming my fingers against the body; the front control wheel is well placed, if my index finger were a bit shorter, or perhaps longer; the thumb rest is great for carrying and holding, but to use it my hand torques just enough that the buttons aren't quite were they need to be. Sorry to say, the damn thing doesn't fit my hand and I'm just too old to try and adjust. It goes back and I'll keep looking.

I find that mirrorless cameras are often:

1) Too short

2) Too thin

Sometimes just bulking out the body with a half case is all that is needed to convert an almost unusable camera into a comfortable one.
