Well, a 24-70 sounds like a full frame lens. Is your Nikon full frame or crop (FX or DX camera?)

That matters a lot as to what the 'equivalent' lens would be.

I had 2 Nikon bodies d500 and d850. I really wasn’t using the d500 as I bought it for my husband as he said he wanted to ‘try’ out photography. Since that one had the most similar controls to my d850 i bought. I now am trading it in towards a used d6600 and now trying to figure out what one lens i would like with it. I am most interested in using it for pet photography as I mostly use my d850 for landscapes. I use the 24-70 the most on my d850.

I was thinking of either the sony 16-55 2.8 for crop sensor or maybe the 24-105 f4. I thought the second if I ever wanted to move up to a full frame sony.
