600mm is about as long as I want/need with my m.43 cameras and I get there with a 300mm F2.8 and 2x teleconverter.

The lens isn’t on my radar but I’ve been thinking about how I would use the new Olympus 150-400mm F4.5 to reach 600mm. There’re two options:

1. zoomed to 300mm with the MC-20 giving 600mm F9

2. zoomed to 340mm, internal 1.25x switched in, and with the MC-14 giving 600mm F8

How would you do it ?

Would the MC-20 on its own deliver better image quality than the internal 1.25x stacked with an MC-14 ?

Have any 150-400 owners had a chance to try this ?

Given how few full resolution pics from that lens have shown up here yet ... I'd guess it's a bit early to expect someone having done thorough and valid comparison tests.
