What every P600 and R3000 owner should look out for
2

By this time, many owners of these machines could start experiencing issues with clogging and bad nozzle checks. Some of these printing problems could be the result of something else.

What is that something else? Ink build up on the left side of the printer.

All owners of these machines as well as the P400, R2000, R1900, R2880, R2400 and R800/1800 should open the lid of their printer and check on the LEFT SIDE of the track and see if there is a pool or mound of dried up ink at the end of the left side of the path of the printhead

As part of the normal printing process, these machines will spit ink out on the left side as well as the right side. On the right side, the ink is taken out into the waste pad.

On the left side it is left to be absorbed into the sponge material and slowly build up into a mound.

Over time, the build up will rise enough to collide with the underside of the printhead and cause missing nozzles. If you are fortunate enough, it will display a horizontal missing band of nozzle stairsteps across multiple colors. Then you know what is happening. No amount of head cleaning will fix this.

If there is a mound, the fix is simple, obtain a small sponge trim paint brush. Get gloves and a couple small containers. Using the brush, dip it into windex and squeeze out excess using gloved hands then apply brush to the mound. Rinse in another container. Squeeze out and dip in clean windex again. Continue till mound of ink disappears.

There are other ways but this is the easiest. Be gentle and this will take some time.
