You can focus stack with any EOS camera by using the Camera Connect phone app, or EOS Utility app on your laptop (tethered via USB).

I use EOS Utility which is a phantastic software. However, I have to do the stacking manually. If you could elaborate how to do automatic stacking I would be very grateful.

Edit: Not every EOS camera can be tethered. The M200 can, the M100 not.

You have me there, I haven't tried it, only read about it. My understanding is that all you need is to tether the camera and use an autofocus lens. I intend to try it with my M5 but I also have other non-M bodies (80D, 5D4, R) and several lenses to try it. Here's an article describing how to do it, seems fairly straightforward:

Thanks. Unfortunately the process described in your link is how I do it. It is simple and easy to bracket 10-20 images. But very time consuming and boring for more.

Anyway, I am glad at least it can be done in a way.

My guess is that you can hope for automatic bracketing on the R.
