Re: How terrible is the 60mm AF?

I recently swapped my 85mm Viltrox back to the 60mm for a tele prime... not for IQ, but for size and a more preferred focal length. The Viltrox was a beast on my small cams, so never really brought it out and the focal length was a bit too long...

I have the lens on the X-T20 and it's still pretty slow to acquire focus and will attempt to focus through the whole range if there is not much contrast in the scene.

However, it seems more ACCURATE. When I used it years back, it actually MISSED focus quite a few times as well. So I'm glad the accuracy is better now.

But yes, the newer bodies have the focus limiting which will stop it from trying to find something in full focus range.

IQ this lens is stellar, outstanding bokeh, great color.

I'm basically using it for head and shoulder shots, landscape, and probably some occasional macro use while hiking of mushrooms and stuff.
