Can you please advise me. I have Canon M50. I have bought the canon EF-M to EF adapter and 2 lenses. The telephoto one all works. The macro is Canon macro lens EF 200mm 1:2.8 IS USM is the one I really wanted. But when I attach it to the camera via adapter nothing works. AF F-stop is 0 and I can't change it or take a photo. I'm fairly new to photography. Any help?

Canon have never made a 200mm macro lens, but they have made an EF 100mm 1:2.8L IS USM macro and an EF 100mm 1:2.8 USM macro. If your lens is one of those, then either the contacts are dirty or the lens is broken. It's worth cleaning all four sets of contacts (camera, both ends of the adapter and lens) with a cotton buds and isopropyl alcohol first. If that doesn't work, you could try another EF or EF-S lens to see if the macro lens is the problem. If the other lens doesn't work either, try an EF-M lens to see if it's the adapter or the camera.

You can adapt non-EF lenses to the camera, but they will normally display F00 if they don't have the EF electrical contacts. There is a setting in one of the Custom menus that allows the camera to take a picture without a lens. Enabling that setting well let the camera take a picture with an adapted lens, but an EF lens requires the contacts to autofocus and to stop down the iris.
