What do you want in a new x100?

I’ve owned the x100T, F, and V and love the series. But I decided to keep the F rather than the V, primarily because of ergonomic/control problems and it running too hot even when just using menus and taking stills.

I think the F is vastly better with the D-pad, controllable auto ISO settings on the front wheel, much better delete button placement, and view mode button. And it’s never uncomfortably warm to the touch.

Besides a new sensor, processor, and better heat dissipation, I really hope Fuji can add IBIS and rectify these design setbacks in in the next model. And let’s see it soon!

What I don't want -

I don't want it to be any larger (in any dimension). Anything that does that, such as image stabilization or triple 4 way selfie screens, is not worth it. (Current implementation of a thin tilt screen in the V is an example of doing it right.)

I don't want the operation as a still camera to be compromised for the sake of video. I am not opposed to video, as long as it doesn't cause other compromises.

I don't want any more customization / controls removed, as in the X-E4. Likewise I don't want to see the manual controls for aperture, ss, iso, etc to be lost.

What I do want -

Agree about the controllable auto ISO setting via front wheel, and I hope Fuji will address that on the V with a FW upgrade. No indication so far though...

Ability to store RAW when using the digital teleconverter function. I know this is coming in the next FW, so that's great.

I want an enhanced attention to the finish. The widely discussed 'scraping sound' of plastic on plastic when turning the front control dial is not a deal killer, but it speaks to a lack of attention to detail. A camera of this cost should be flawless in design thought and detail.

Of course, that's just me...

The digital teleconverter & RAW is in next firmware update.
