Re: Gluing IR Cut Filter To Lens

I only had luck using the liquidly glass-to-metal glue once. You should use the epoxy style glue that isn't liquidy like super glue. The second time I tried it the glue got all over the lens and IR cut filter and it was blurry. You can use that type of glue but you have to use a paint brush to get just a very small amount on 4 corners of the flange. I tried putting the glue on some plastic and rubbing it to make it thin, then transferring the glue to the metal flange of the lens but it was still too much glue. You're gong to have to use a very very small amount on 3 corners of the lens then don't push hard on the lens to force the glue to be uniform because that will cause the glue to go onto the glass lens.
