Re: No mechanical shutter on the x100t?

I had a Sigma fixed lens camera and it had only one diaphragm that doubled as the mechanical shutter.

It was impossible to tell that there was a shutter operation.  It was a little blink, sort of.

This camera did not have electronic shutter options at all.

I think what happens is the lens closes, then quickly opens to the shooting aperture for the duration of the exposure, then closes, then quickly opens to the "getting ready to take another picture" normal condition.

Can you see anything like a real aperture, like in regular lenses?  If so, the operation of a mechanical leaf shutter behind this might be similar to what I said above, but the first part is pretty quick.

If you can't see anything like a real aperture like in regular lenses a single mechanical device might be doing both aperture and shutter jobs like in my old Sigma fixed lens camera.
