different behaviour when I press the R-dial button on my XE3 compared to XE2.

I get a different behaviour when I press the R-dial button on my XE3 compared to XE2.

On both cameras the R-dial button is programmed to trigger a ‘Focus check’ when shooting and the Image mode is set to ‘continuous’ for immediately after a picture was taken.

Yet, when I press the R-dial buttonimmediately after taking a picture, the image is zoomed in to the max on XE2, whereas in XE3 nothing happens. When in preview mode however, the behaviour (i.e. the max zooming) is the same.

I value the maximum zoom in function in the ‘continuous’ preview mode on my XE2 and would like the same behaviour on my XE3 as reaching the main preview button is not always an easy or quick thing to do and I often require a fast check of the image sharpness before I move to the next shot. Speed is essential here.

Can XE3 be made to behave like the XE2 in this respect? Is there a setting that I am missing?

Also, I noticed that on my XE3, the preview image is not always displayed straight after taking a picture when in ‘continuous’ image mode. There appears to be a correlation between the amount of time I keep my finger on the shutter button and whether or not the preview image is displayed or not bug I can’t be sure. Is anyone else aware of this?

thanks so much
