Agreed.  Best practice from the IT field for backups:  3-2-1.  Always have 3 backups.  2 backups should be on different medium.  1 backup should be offsite.

I keep my LR catalog on a Qnap NAS [4x 4TB HDD + 2x 256GB SSD].  It get’s backed up nightly to an older Synology NAS.  Every week, I sync with BackBlaze for offsite.  Once a year or so, I’ll take a manual copy to old HDDs for storage in an offsite safe.  If my house burns down, I won’t loose the tens of thousands of pictures I’ve taken.

When centralizing on a NAS, it’s important to have a Gigabit network, else LR will start to lag.
