I think personally - "take something personally — interpret a remark or action as directed against oneself and be upset or offended by it", for my female bear being protective of her cubs.

Now this is definitely personable " having a pleasant appearance and manner", as well as a good example of a blurred background.

Sure was nice to meet a young lion purring like a cat, but his fur was definitely more coarse.
