Are you new to Fujifilm? Only asking as everyone knew what to expect "under the hood"...it's on the the same level as every other body of this generation.

It's the missing dials, buttons, & grips while still being heavier that makes it less capable than it's predecessor.

I like this one better than the rest since most of the others are festooned with what I think are too many knobs, buttons, and dials. Also, I like the clean classic bar of soap look about it. I like the appearance of cheapness too. I like the basic unobtrusiveness of it, the generic unchallenging appearance, the "no bigger than it needs to be" size of it, and if there is some weight there, it is because of the quality.

That's great for you (in theory) but you haven't used it yet...and what if xe5 (if that ever comes out) has even less dials & buttons? Even better I suppose...because that's been the trend.

The lack of excess buttons and dials hides the real power of this little camera quite well.

Xe3 & x100v are all similar size.

Under the hood, it still provides the same image quality as the big boys such as my X-T3. The sensor is that great one found in the X-T3 and X-T4 and X-Pro3. This is what really matters, at least to me.

That's always been the case

I do wonder if the X-E4 will still work for manual non electronic lenses that I like to use. The manual should answer that question once it becomes available for download.
