Bizarre changes, really? The point of having multiple control options at your fingertips is so it’s quick and easy to dial in any necessary changes both before and while actively shooting without menu diving.

For me, this statememgt is on target.

Then again in my original response I mentioned at least 7 ways to control functions minus the buttons across the top back which most likely will be able to map . To many people complaining over a dial and ibis. If it doesn't work for you move on no need to bash it ...... most probably never had intentions of buying it anyway.

Ummm most people "bashing" it were actually planning on buying this & probably already on an older XE body.

If anything a lot of so called reviewers who were given the camera for free & are probably going to make money from affiliate links are trying to defend these omissions!

Imagine if they start removing these things from other lines...d-pads are already disappearing from other cameras (xt30, x100v etc). You can't just say if you don't like it then move on. People may end up moving on to another brand 🤦🏾‍♂️

I personally love the rear command dial...x100v still has it & even if you use the lensmate thumb grip, you can move it out of the way to access the dial. (I personally don't really need the thumb grip but it came with my camera, I never had to use any additional grip on the xe3 either). ✌🏾
