On paper the XE4 is slightly better for video, but i would wait for proper real world use.

Please tell me what I may have missed (on paper) about the X-E4 other than the 10 minute limit on video clips (which is a non-issue for my application). Based on the needs i have outlined I felt the X-T30 had the edge on paper and the real world reviews for that camera pushed me off the fence. It seems that the X-E4 is targeted for photographers who may want to shoot some video. The X-T30 reviews I have seen claim the X-T30's video capabilities are pretty close to the X-T3 but in a smaller body (size is very important to me) and the differences are even less when recording externally..

They are both video powerhouses. The xe4 just edges with longer record limit, 240fps high framerate mode, and theoretically better AF.

I agree the 240fps and (theoretically) better AF are pretty nice features. I think 120fps on the XT30 is workable but a trade off for sure.

The xt30 has better controls, no doubt.

That is really important to me. It seems very close to my XE3. I think in the long run having the XT30 by Monday instead of waiting until the end of February was also a major factor for me and may have ultimately closed the deal.

Thanks for your input, Miguel!
