GFX 50R vs A7RII ISO settings

I got my first native GF lens for the GFX50R. Its the GF45 f/2.8 lens. I compared it with my A7RII with Sony's native FE35 f/1.8. The first thing I notice is that for comparable settings, same shutter speed, same aperture (f/2.8, 4, 5.6 etc) the Sony is much brighter for the same ISO setting. The GFX by default sets the ISO to as high as 800 while the Sony is happy shooting at ISO 200 and still produces the same brightness or better images. The GFX 50R images are no sharper either. I am not impressed. I must be missing something or doing something wrong because from all the images I have seen and from all the discussions i've read so far the GFX combo should be blowing the Sony system out of the water. I am also keeping the GFX shutter speed higher than 125 or higher so I am not getting camera shake. I am at a loss what could be doing wrong.

Please help
