Here's the numbers. The patches on the upper one, numbered 1, 3 and 5 (the in camera setting) are a bit on the blue side.

In the corresponding patches 2, 4 and 6 on the bottom one (in software multiplier) the RGB values are relatively closer together, but there is just a tiny shift to the greens/cyans.

So technically speaking the bottom one is closer to true color, but it looks off because our eyes are used to a blueish tint in the shade because of ambient light. The eye compensates for that by itself,

And that's why auto-WB (or auto anything) is almost never a good endpoint.
