Silicone body cover for Z bodies?
Silicone body cover for Z bodies?
I should probably be asking this on in the Accessories forum, but is anyone using a silicone body cover for their Z camera? I ran into a photographer tonight who was using one he bought on Amazon to protect his Sony A7 body. He said theat they were pretty easy to modify by using an Xacto knife to trim off the pieces you do not want. For example he had removed most of the bottom so he could use a form fitting, body specific L bracket.
My concerns are:
how does it affect the electronic and mechanical operations of the camera?
Does it trap enough heat to increase noise during very long exposures?
How does it change how the camera feels to operate?
How often o you have to replace them?
