Hi, I checked and there is no firmware update for the 150-600mm except for a teleconverter they sell. I ordered the 60-600mm to see if it makes a difference with a more recent lens. I would get the new Canon RD 100-500mm but really don't want to lose the 100mm on the long end and one stop down in aperture. I really like the Sigma performance.

The RF 100-500's F7.1 is only 1/3 stop below the Sigma's F6.3, not one full stop.

Yes 1/3 stop slower and 100mm shorter

Canon RF 100-500L: 93.8×207.6mm

Sigma 150-600 Sport: 121mm × 290.2mm (310mm including EF-RF adapter)

You're right! The Canon is indeed approximately 100mm shorter.

(Funny how these coincidences work.)

Funny indeed, I’d much rather have the extra FL and faster aperture personally, but maybe I’ll change my mind when I’m old and gray.
