With a refractor in that range you are going to need near perfect polar alignment with the star adventurer and using the polar scope isn't going to provide that. There are many things that can cause mis-alignment, the wedge is incapable of truly delivering precise results consistently for starters, after you do your polar alignment your loosening and tightening of clutches to frame your target can cause mis-alignment, not having all the bolts and screws sufficiently tightened down (on the wedge, mount and bracket) can result in movement throughout the system which can cause mis-alignment. Realistically you need to do a more precise polar alignment with something like sharpcap, as was mentioned, and you need to be VERY careful after doing your polar alignment and then framing your target.
