Canon 70D to a Fuji Xs10

I have been thinking getting a Fuji XS10 for my photo needs as well as my new growing addiction to making videos. I currently now using a Canon 70D it has basic video functions and does good photos. I want a physically smaller camera body that does more . Do you think this would be a logical step to go to the XS10 from the canon 70D. As my first Fuji camera should I buy a lesser expensive camera and  build up a lens collection or should I save my pennies and go for a XT4? Is a Fuji camera fun to use? Is it so crazy technical you need an engineering degree to use it? What is the menu system like? Coming from Canon would this be a smooth transition from Canon to Fuji.  I know I need all new gear with a new brand I guess thats what I am after a major down sizing in physical gear size. Thanks for your opinions have a great day.

Canon EOS 70D
