Got a GX80 not sure how to handle focus in video

I may seem a dumb question but coming from stills I did never have any problem focusing

In video I'm completely lost

Not sure what is the right way to handle this, GX80 focus seems pretty fast if I tap to focus but if I let the camera focus in video mode it takes for ever

Not sure If I set up something wrong or if it is the lens or what but even in daylight AFC is not usable

I did try with pancake zoom it come with and Olympus 17mm f 1.8 but nooo is not usable, it works only if I tiptoe screen while I'm recording other wise I takes for ever

I guess there is no AF speed option, could not find in menu

How should I focus?

I'm wondering if with G80 or G90 would make any difference
