Nikon 70-200GII 2.8 ED VRII Image question

Recently bought this lens used. Lens looks to be in mint condition. I was having over exposure issues and a very nice gentleman on this forum here helped me with the issue. After a quick fix on the lens I snapped a few quick pics to see if the lens was now working properly.

Took these pics this morning.

Would you consider these images to be sharp? Do you believe the image quality is sufficient for this lens or would you expect the images to be much better/sharper? The lens is a Nikon 70-200 GII 2.8 ED VRII. Again, I ask because I am very green at photography. I have a lot to lean, I honestly do not know what is considered a "sharp image".

Could be me, could be the lens or images could be fine.

Thank you.
