Nikon Z50 Video AF Question

Hello all,

I'm struggling to find an answer to the exact question I'm looking for. I love the z50 so far but one of the main reason I got it was for vlogging. The issue is this- in good light the face detection sticks to my face like glue which awesome! BUT when I'm not in great light ( normally anything around 5000 ISO or more) it looses my face a lot, and when it does it basically doesn't focus back to my face it unless I tap on my face. The weird part is that I see the face detection box around my face even when its out of focus...anyone else have a similar experience? I know I can get a faster lens for better light but VR is really important to me since the camera doesn't have ibis...

The lens I am using is the 18-55 AF-P dx Nikor lens with the FTZ adapter.

Thanks!
