My experience with the M10 Mono is in line with this. I mostly use 2-stop B+W orange filters on my Mono lenses. I don't try to replicate the look of film, though…I use film when I want a filmic look. 

I've also experimented with a 1.5-stop Heliopan blue filter to see if I could get something like an ortho look. The filter does take the tonal response in that direction, but it's very subtle.
