M6 MK II Star shots - dead pixels

Hello, first post here be gentle..

A quick history, I bought an M6 MK II last year, after a few days it got knocked to a hard floor & broke the LCD in the corner, but still worked.

I did some night time time lapse star shots & noticed a lot of dead pixels, which were annoying as they appeared as stationary stars.
My logic was that the drop had damaged the sensor, so I sold the camera as spares or repair on eBay, the loss wasn't too bad & less than a repair from Canon.

I buy another which I got a few weeks ago. I thought I check if this one was the same. As it's cloudy & cold I put on the lens cap, set ISO to 1600 & did an 8 second exposure. Result - lots of dead pixels

Here's 3 shots uploaded, first 2 with Canon 22mm & 3rd with Sigma 30mm. Full sensor clean was done between shots & some pixels do 'change'.

As I type, I have the online form ready to send to request a replacement from the retailer, but thought I'd ask in here in case there may be a solution. 2 cameras with the same problem doesn't seem right.
Thanks in advance.
