Is SIGMA APO 50-150mm F2.8 II EX DC HSM still good for today's cameras?

About 10, 15 years ago, the lens was good for crop sensors. It was sharp and had a consistent F2.8. I wonder if it is still good for today's high pixel sensors and focusing system. I am thinking of buying one for my Canon 90D.

I am also thinking of the Sigma 17-50 F2.8 OS lens too because of its consistent F2.8. How is the sharpness comparing to today's lens like the ef-s 18-135 USM kit lens? I have the Tamron none-VC one from my 30D. It is no good anymore, specially where is close to the edges.

The Tamron 17-70 F2.8 is good and what I want, but it is only for Sony. What a pity!

Anyone has these lenses and can give some advice?
