I am about to buy a used canon 24 70 f2.8 L USM. for approx $750 (there are some fungus patches so need to discuss the final price with the seller). I have never had an L lens before and was a bit awed of the image quality when I tested it. I wanted to have some advice from the other owners if they feel the the images are upto the standard of this lens or if I might not be getting a good piece. Apologies, these are some random test shots on my Canon 6D. Any advice much appreciated. Also would anyone have any idea of risks of going for this used 24 70 L USM model - Particularly I was reading some disturbing blogs where in the diaphragm collapses on this particular lens after some year's use. Again thanks for reading my post

Fungus is not good unless you plan to spend the additional money to have the lens professionally cleaned.
"Lens fungus is a combination of dust and moisture that finds its way into the interior elements of a camera lens. ... It can look like small web-like spots or patches inside the lens. Left untreated, lens fungus can permanently decrease the performance of the lens and cause your images to look fuzzy or hazy."
