A7III, Lock On flexible spot and the "green box"

Dear friends,

I'm using my brand new A7III and appreciate ist potential in terms of AF, very impressive.

One of the feature I like the most is the "Lock on flexible spot AF", very handy for locking focus on a subject quickly.

Now, I see in the videos from Mark Galer that he gets a green box upon lock-on, he is using though an A7RIII.

Well, this is not my experience. I only get a double green box when a human is targeted.

When I target a vehicle or a static object, I only get the "sparkling little green dots" dancing on the subjects.

Well, they mainly remain locked on the subject but sometimes the lock is lost and the little greens go dancing somewhere else.

I really would like to get the lock-on green box on the subject, if only to feel myself as the Cruise/Maverick shooter with a Tomcat mirrorless...

1. is the lack of green box related to the lens (mainly using adapted lenses)?

2. Is the lack of green box related to the model (A7III)?
