Happens the same with jpegs, pink tint and then its fine 1/2 sec later. Possibly its opening a preview first.

Hmm, that`s strange, as I don`t think JPEG has either an embedded preview, nor white balance to be corrected...?

I will keep an eye on WB shift next times i shoot. Meanwhile i will unassign the WB function button (i think i have assigned one to the d-pad).

But since i confirmed the WB had a pink tint setup, its strange they are corrected...should show pink when i open them. It would look more normal if the initial was OK and then it read the exif and changed to pink. But its the opposite.

If the reason is white balance shift set in-camera, it`s possibly stored as a separate EXIF (or similar) value, so might be the RAW editor/viewers you`ve tried it with simply do not read this value, thus showing white balance without the (pink) shift once the actual RAW file is loaded.

WB Shift settings do carry over to the RAW on my X100V, but not on the older X-T2/X-T20. I'm thinking, being newer, the X-S10 will probably carry any WB Shift settings over as well. Someone might want to check that, though.

Mine is actualy an X-T3, the OPs did have an X-S10

I’m not sure what the X-T3 does, but the X-T2 applies WB shift settings only to the jpeg, not to the RAW, but the embedded jpeg preview will show the shift until it is replaced in Lightroom.

As previously explained, RAW embedded JPEG would still be pink, so seeing that one first makes sense (and the opposite would be unexpected).

That explains the RAW, but the examples i posted were from the jpegs.

I just grabbed my camera and will check all WB and Fn buttons related settings.

[Maybe I overlooked it but] what does the WB and Tint say in exif?

Haven't checked the exif because i meawhile noticed the tint was set in the AWB and resolved it. But can check later.
