No you must use a Tripod!!! It's funny, I recently started a couple of threads about optimal settings for astrophotography, 90% of the people that responded couldn't get over that fact that I shot handheld.

Thanks for the Sequator tip. I haven't tried exposure stacking yet but for serious astrophotography it seems to be very useful.

I highly recommend trying out Sequator, its very useful for beginner astro and landscape astro work as well.

Check out Nightscape Images on YouTube he does a lot of really cool things with Sequator.
