Not a particularly technical or aesthetic shot - I was simply documenting today's hike out to Kaena Point on the northwest tip of the island of Oahu. I started early enough so that the mountain range provided shade all the way (3 miles one way). I'd been in shade until just a couple of minutes earlier - and forgot about the sun, still low on the horizon. I briefly wondered about the awful flare and then promptly forgot about it - until I got home and looked at the photos on my desktop. The moment I realized that the bright flare was the sun - I got a chill down my spine. Ooops - had I damaged my eye, I thought? Then a moment later, I remembered that I wasn't looking thru an OVF! Yes!! The Z6 EVF had saved my eyeball!! I'm getting older and more forgetful - I need every break I can get!
