Anyone still use an old camera?
1

By old in this case, I'm thinking of more than 10 years old. As cameras are electronics these days, 10 years is a long time. (Yes, this would include most film cameras.)

I'm currently running a challenge for "Old tech" and I'm pleasantly surprised by the number of entries. I'm wondering if I'd have any entries for a challenge where you have to go out and take a new picture with your old camera.

I don't use the digital cameras I have which are more than 10 years old. For a long time I used an Olympus C7000, which is a 2005 vintage design, and a D40z before that (from 2002). But I haven't turned them on since I got Panasonic LF1 in 2014. I'd be surprised if they actually powered up.

I do still have my old film gear, but I'm not motivated to shoot film usually. I did run a roll of film though a Minolta XD11 recently, and it worked fine. That reinforced the idea that I prefer digital.
