Is the autofocus tracking speed the same on the R5 vs R6?

Re: Is the autofocus tracking speed the same on the R5 vs R6?

I have both.  The R6 is cleaner out of the camera than the R5.  There are some who say that if you downsample the R5 files it's about the same at high ISO, but that feels like more work.  Also, the R6 is a little more forgiving with shutter speed.  I find I need  higher shutter speeds with the R5 to get crisp results.  For your use I can't imagine why the R6 wouldn't be the logical choice.  The AF performance is the same.

Shooting situations like you described are one of the main reasons I have both and not two R5s.  When I shoot my grandkids in low light, I grab the R6.
