Pretty much what has been said.

The S is the 2nd iteration of this camera. The 1st did not have the X-trans sensor. As pointed out, the focus is slow. Usable but slow. Many people use this camera for street photography. Good enough. As an older body, some of the film simulations are absent. No Acros. The lens is the same 23mm f2 across the line until the improved V. Some say it is a little soft. Not great close up. Corners a little soft wide open. Good enough for me.

I like this camera. Small. Not in your pants pocket small. More like a jacket pocket small. Lite certainly. Love the B&W with the red filter. I like the images. Not a video camera. Did I mention this is frequently used for street? Video is HD and OK for short clips. Has dials and butttons to customize.

My rule is if the camera took good quality images six years ago, it will take good images now. An older sensor but still good. Not as many tricks as the V but it is an older camera. You pay more for new sensor and add ons. Great value for $300. Take the camera and run.

Don’t like the camera when you use it for a while? eBay or Craigslist it. You will get your entire money back. Maybe a few cents more.

Congradulations for a good buy. For some, this was the entry drug into Fujiland.
