Until the pandemic, I used to shoot indoor hockey pictures of my son. Before switching to Fuji, I used a 70-200 f2.8 G lens and a 70-200 f2.8 Tamron on a Sony crop sensor. I had moderate success - it struggled with some of the poorly lit municipal arenas.

I chose the 90f2 over the 50-140 for sports mostly because of the extra stop - it really helped out in poorly lit venues, including some indoor soccer. It’s a fast focusing lens and the output is fantastic. I continue to experiment with the ideal AF settings, but for the most part, Fuji delivers.  The X-TX/90f2 was a step up from my 70-200 on Sony crop.

No experience with the 50f2. I had the 50f1.2 for some time, but it is not appropriate for action.
